This concept has undeniable advantages, including optimized force distribution, rigidity of the clamping system, and speed to the toggle geometry and energy efficiency.
Due to five-point double toggle system and box-type design of the moving platen, the actual locking force is 10% greater than the rated clamping force, thanks to the positive locking mechanism of the toggle system. It also offers extreme reliability thanks to the ruggedly constructed machine components, which include massive platens and long tiebar guides. In combination with Engel's compact-design injection units it minimizes the overall length of the machine and has the easiest conceivable operation thanks to a control concept offering full integration potential for machine, robot and peripheral units.
